About Play seeks an Early Interventionist to serve in South Carolina. The role requires residency in SC and 1 year of experience with children birth to six, with a bachelor’s degree in related fields. On-the-job training is available for qualified candidates, including new graduates.

The position involves providing family-centered services, in-home training, and education to families, promoting child development and monitoring progress. Travel within specified counties is expected.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the fields listed above or related field, plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years.
OR a Bachelor’s Degree in any field with 5 years of experience with infants/toddlers or preschoolers with disabilities; resume must include all work experience.
Prior early interventionist experience preferred or willingness for on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
Perform family training with the caregiver and child in home, daycare, or natural environment.
Provide training and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
Develop and implement strategies to promote child development.
Monitor progress of child and family.
