Job summary

Action Health Staffing in Wilson, NC is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care. Work hours include Monday-Wednesday 12noon–5pm and Friday 1pm–4pm, with shifts focused on direct patient care, transfers, hygiene, meals, and companionship.

You will follow Plan of Care, maintain patient privacy, document changes, assist with activities of daily living, and travel within the service area. A DFS certification and a high school diploma or GED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervising staff.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities that vary by client needs and interests.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client's physical or psychosocial condition.
• Complete tasks per EVV app or time sheets when needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems.
• Assist in promoting independence within client abilities.
• Perform other duties according to the care plan.
• Call Action Health Staffing with questions or comments; uphold patient confidentiality.
