Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Little Falls area. Wage starts at $18/hour; CNAs earn $20/hour. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part-time and full-time hours available depending on your availability. As an in-home caregiver, you will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities include ADLs, personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning, companionship, mobility support, medication

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping in clients' homes.
• Plan and prepare meals; assist with cooking and baking.
• Offer conversation and companionship.
• Provide interactive caregiving.
• Assist with mobility and use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medications as needed.
• Provide dementia/Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Document shift and cares electronically.

• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
