Job summary

The Village for Families and Children in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced Intensive In-Home Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to a team serving children and families with complex behavioral health needs.

This role combines hands-on practice with leadership responsibilities, mentoring clinicians, ensuring trauma-informed care, and collaborating with schools, DCF, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related clinical field
• Active Connecticut clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
• At least three years of experience working with children and families
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills
• Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practice
• Ability to provide services across office, school, home, and community settings

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians, staff, and interns
• Create a supervision environment that promotes professional growth and clinical excellence
• Coach team members through complex clinical situations, risk assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning
• Support onboarding, professional development, and performance growth
• Facilitate and participate in supervision, clinical rounds, and team meetings
• Promote trauma-informed, family-centered clinical practice
• Lead, coach and develop clinicians and mentor junior staff
• Strengthen clinical programs and partnerships with schools, DCF, and community providers
• Stay connected to clinical practice by maintaining a small caseload when needed
• Ensure high-quality clinical documentation and care coordination
