Job summary

Golden Heart Senior Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors and Veterans in their own homes in the Des Moines area. You will assist with dressing, bathing, toileting, meal prep, housekeeping, transportation, and companionship.

We offer flexible day/evening/weekend shifts, paid training, paid drive time, and opportunities for advancement. Must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license (preferred), and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required for all roles).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Compassionate, reliable, and willing to learn on the job and the specific needs of the individual served.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs).
• Meal preparation, housekeeping, and home management tasks.
• Transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Medication reminders (online training on systems provided).
• Documentation of services provided.
• Encouraging independence and supporting client goals.
• Ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout shifts.
