Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare in Texas is seeking a Part-time Home Health Caregiver to support disabled and elderly clients in their homes. You will assist with ADLs, monitor safety, prepare meals, remind to take medications, and help with light housekeeping, under the guidance of our healthcare team.

Flexible 19 hours per week with 4, 6, or 8-hour shifts, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 11 am–5 pm. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; reliable transportation required. Starting pay is $12.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
• Dependable with excellent time management skills
• Spanish language ability is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being
• Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs
