Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare is seeking a part-time Home Health Caregiver to support clients in their homes in the 77302 area. You will provide essential daily living assistance, monitor safety, and help with meals, hydration, and medications.

The role emphasizes compassionate, client-centered care with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships in a home-care setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
• Dependable with excellent time management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene)
• Maintain client safety through wellness checks
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure hydration
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance
• Perform light housekeeping for a safe living space
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities
• Document and report changes to the healthcare team
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs
