Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare in Houston provides in-home health care and is seeking a full-time Home Health Caregiver to support clients in their homes, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being to promote independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, safety checks, meals, hydration, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the healthcare team. Schedule: nights 10 pm–6 am, five days a week or more, based on need.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Maintain client safety through wellness checks and environmental monitoring.
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration.
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being.
• Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team.
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs.
