Job summary

Visiting Angels, America's Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides (CNA’s and experienced caregivers) to work in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties in SC. Positions offer part-time options with days, evenings, weekends, or overnights, providing one-on-one care and ongoing client support.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and the ability to follow care plans. No CNA license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Must adhere to plans of care and safety standards.
• Good communication and active listening with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders as scheduled.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals per dietary needs.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Perform light housekeeping for the client.
• Be a supportive, engaging companion to clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Skills

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
