Job summary

Altra Homecare of North Indy is seeking compassionate caregivers to support patients in their homes in Fishers, Indiana. The role emphasizes medication reminders, safety, and daily living assistance, with a focus on maintaining patient dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include mobility support, light housekeeping, documentation, and companionship, while meeting state requirements and training. CPR and TB testing are preferred qualifications, with competitive weekly pay and flexible

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements per State and Federal laws (training provided).
• Preferred: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: CPR certification.
• Preferred: tuberculosis (TB) test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor health changes.
• Ensure patient safety and report significant changes to supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature and ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and simple physical activities.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
