Job summary

HOME CARE SNE LLC in Branford, CT is seeking an In Home Caregiver to support clients at home with daily living activities, safety, and comfort. The role emphasizes compassionate care, observational skills, and adherence to care plans under HIPAA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, strong interpersonal abilities, and familiarity with ADLs, medication reminders, and memory care. Part-time hours offer flexibility and paid training to ensure high-quality home-based care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Strong skills in patient observation, monitoring, and documentation of care provided.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Familiarity with care plans and medication administration protocols is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• CNA, HHA, PCA certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as per care plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Observe and report changes in client conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals.
• Support memory care for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe transfers when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining client confidentiality.
