Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking Home Care Aides in California to help seniors stay at home with compassionate, nonmedical support. The role supports morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with 10–40 hours per week and no experience required.

Applicants must be 18+, hold CA HCA Registry registration, pass a background check, and have a TB test. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for home visits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current registration with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Completion of a criminal background check and disclosure of any criminal history or exemptions.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan per the Care Designer.
• Assist with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Health Care Aide.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Provide meal planning and basic food preparation.
• Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care.
• Perform light housekeeping and companionship duties.
• Record all hours worked and report changes to the administrator.
