Job summary

Gail’s Homecare is hiring a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients in their homes with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. You will document progress and follow care plans to ensure wellbeing and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications, serving meals, and providing companionship, while maintaining client dignity. Required CPR/BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and 1 year healthcare experience; home healthcare experience

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of full-time healthcare experience (3–5 years preferred).
• Experience in home healthcare strongly preferred.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Completion of at least 8 hours of personal care-related training annually.
• Ability to follow care plans accurately and work under supervision.
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work.
• Physically able to lift and transfer clients.
• Reliable, punctual, and compassionate with client dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed.
• Document clients' progress to help ensure overall wellbeing.
• Support with meals, medications, and daily living activities.
• Provide companionship and respond to client needs with empathy.
• Follow care plans and cooperate with the care team.
