Job summary

Gail's Homecare in Georgia is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients in their homes, assisting with basic personal care and daily tasks. You will document progress and help ensure overall wellbeing under supervision.

Required are CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications, a high school diploma or GED, and 1 year of healthcare experience (3–5 years preferred). Home health experience is highly preferred, with strong English communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting required; three to five years preferred.
• Significant experience in a home health care setting strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conversational skills.
• Completion of at least eight hours of personal care-related training annually.
• Participation in professional meetings and training sessions as directed.
• Ability to work under supervision and demonstrate competency in providing quality client care.
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients with mobility and other physical tasks.
• Patience and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Willingness to perform both personal care and household tasks as requested by the client.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
• Warm, compassionate, and caring personality.
• Commitment to treating clients with dignity, respect, and professionalism.
• Ability to comply with all agency policies, legal requirements, and healthcare regulations
