Job summary

Gail's Homecare in Georgia is seeking a compassionate personal care assistant (PCA) to support clients in their homes, assisting with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks, and documenting progress to support overall wellbeing.

The role offers a flexible schedule, pay rate of $13 per hour, and requires CPR/BLS and First Aid, a high school diploma or GED, and 1 year of healthcare experience. Candidates must be reliable, patient, and able to follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Certification in CPR/BLS and First Aid is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year full-time healthcare experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Home healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Annual 8 hours of personal care-related training completed.
• Ability to follow care plans and work with supervision.
• Physically able to assist with lifting and mobility.
• Willing to perform personal care and household tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Respect for client dignity and independence.
• Willing to comply with agency policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks.
• Provide compassionate care and document clients' progress.
• Follow care plans and work under supervision.
• Maintain client wellbeing and dignity in the residence.
