Job summary

Agape at Home in Tucson, AZ is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support to clients in our community. You will help clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life in their own homes.

The position offers pay of $16.00–$20.00 per hour, paid weekly, with Day/Night shifts available at the Saddlebooke location and a shift differential. This in-person role emphasizes empathy, safety, and personalized care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients in physical mobility tasks.
• A compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding towards clients’ needs is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide personal care including assistance with mobility and transferring using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and tidying of the home.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through patient observation and tailored activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
