Job summary

At Agape at Home provides non-medical, in-home care across Pima County. We are hiring compassionate caregivers to help clients maintain independence and dignity in their own homes. This in-person role includes day or night shifts at Saddlebooke location with shift differential offered.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities include ADLs, mobility assistance, meals, medication reminders, health monitoring, and companionship, with HIPAA compliance and care-plan

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients in physical mobility tasks.
• A compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding towards clients’ needs is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide personal care including assistance with mobility and transferring using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and tidying of the home.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through patient observation and tailored activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
