Job summary

BrightStar Care of Tyler/Longview is hiring a caregiver/CNA in Tyler, TX to provide in-home, compassionate care. Join a team that values support, growth, and excellent patient outcomes.

You will assist with activities of daily living, accompany clients to appointments, and ensure safety and dignity while delivering high-quality care. Training and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CPR certification (in-person) required.
• Negative TB test within last 12 months.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum 1–2 years caregiver or CNA experience.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality.
• Pass a Level 2 AHCA background check & drug screening.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate companion and personal care, including daily living assistance.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
• Help with bathing, dressing, transfers, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to doctor appointments, pharmacy visits, and grocery stores.
• Assist with mobility exercises and monitor changes, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

Your Role as a Caregiver
