Job summary

No Worries Care Tacoma is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to support clients in their own homes. The role emphasizes one-on-one care, attention to safety, and personalized routines.

Certification helps but is not mandatory for entry, with training provided for those willing to learn. You will assist with daily activities, provide medication reminders, prepare meals, and support memory care needs, all while maintaining HIPAA privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for people in home settings or care facilities.

• Hands-on, compassionate approach to daily care (ADLs).
• Understanding of medication reminders and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders per care plans and HIPAA rules.
• Prepare meals and support nutritional needs.
• Care for clients with dementia or memory-related conditions.
• Assist transfers using equipment (e.g., Hoyer lifts) as needed.
• Monitor health changes and report to the team.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain notes on care provided.
• Encourage client engagement in well-being activities.
• Adhere to safety basics like CPR, first aid, and infection control.

HCA or CNA certification is a plus — but it's not a dealbreaker. We're open to caregivers who haven't gotten certified yet, as long as you're willing to learn and grow with us. Experience in a home, assisted living, or long-term care setting is ideal.

What you'll be doing day to day:

• Helping clients with everyday activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting around safely

• Giving medication reminders according to each client's care plan and HIPAA rules

• Cooking meals and helping with nutrition based on each person's needs

• Caring for clients living with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory‑related conditions

• Using equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe transfers when needed

• Keeping an eye out for changes in a client's health or behavior and reporting them to the team

• Light housekeeping around the client's home

• Keeping accurate notes on the care you provide

• Getting clients involved in activities that support their well‑being

• Following safety basics like CPR, first aid, and infection control

What we're looking for:

• Experience caring for people in homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings

• Attentive to changes in a client's condition or behavior

• Hands‑on, compassionate approach to ADLs and daily care

• Understanding of medication reminders and care plans

• Bonus if you've worked with clients who have dementia, arthritis, or mobility issues

• Good communicator — with clients, families, and coworkers alike

• Physically able to help with transfers and similar tasks

• CPR/First Aid a plus — we'll help you get trained if you're not there yet

• Respect for HIPAA and client privacy

• Open to working with a wide range of clients, including seniors and people with disabilities
