Job description

Do you have caregiving experience, an outgoing personality, and a genuine passion for connecting with people? At Home Instead, we help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. We're looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who are confident providing hands-on personal care and know how to make clients feel comfortable, valued, and understood.

We want more than someone who simply completes a checklist of tasks. We're looking for go-getters who take initiative, aren't afraid to take the lead, and can build genuine connections with clients and their families. If you're personable, proactive, and take pride in the care you provide, we'd love to meet you!

What We Offer
  • Starting pay of $17-$19 per hour

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Paid training to help you succeed

  • Health insurance available for eligible employees

  • PTO and 401(k) available after one year, subject to eligibility requirements

  • Mileage reimbursement when applicable

  • Referral bonuses for referring great people to our team

  • Ongoing support from a team that's here to help you succeed

What You'll Do

As a caregiver, you'll provide hands‑on assistance that helps clients feel safe, respected, and comfortable in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing personal care, including toileting, bathing, and showering

  • Assisting with transfers and safe mobility, including bed‑to‑chair and chair‑to‑toilet transfers

  • Using Hoyer lifts and gait belts safely when properly trained and authorized

  • Building meaningful connections through companionship, conversation, and engagement

  • Taking initiative to identify ways to improve a client's comfort and daily routine

  • Communicating professionally and building positive relationships with clients and their families

  • Assisting with dressing, personal hygiene, and daily routines

  • Helping with light housekeeping and meal preparation

  • Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition, mobility, or routine

  • Maintaining each client's dignity, privacy, independence, and quality of life

What We're Looking For

We're looking for experienced caregivers who bring both hands‑on skills and a positive, take‑charge attitude to their work.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Previous caregiving experience is required.

  • Experience with personal care, including toileting, bathing, and showering.

  • Experience assisting with transfers and mobility.

  • Experience using Hoyer lifts and gait belts is strongly preferred.

  • Outgoing, personable, and confident when interacting with clients and families.

  • A go‑getter who takes initiative

  • Able to build trust, find common ground, and create meaningful connections with clients.

  • Strong awareness of client needs, safety, and the importance of following care plans.

  • Must have dependable transportation to assigned shifts.

  • Must be willing to complete required background checks, drug screening, TB testing, and onboarding.

  • Must be reliable and committed to the shifts you accept.

We Want Caregivers Who Go the Extra Mile

Our clients deserve someone who shows up, gets involved, and genuinely cares. The right caregiver brings positive energy, notices what needs to be done, engages with the client, and helps create an environment where both the client and their family feel comfortable and supported.

We're looking for people who take pride in being dependable, building relationships, and making a difference beyond the basic tasks of caregiving.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're an experienced caregiver with a caring heart, a confident personality, and the initiative to go above and beyond, we'd love to hear from you! #566SG22
