Job summary

Assisted Living Services, Inc. in Vernon, CT is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support clients at home. You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, and help clients stay independent in their own homes.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with flexible schedules (including weekend options), weekly pay, benefits, and training. Applicants should have at least one year of home care experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience working in a home care or healthcare setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines.
• Flexibility with hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services (meal prep, laundry, light housework).
• Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the client.
• Assist with mobility, helping client in/out of bed and in wheelchair as needed.
• Remind client to take medications.
• Help with personal hygiene (brushing teeth, toileting, bathing).
• Change bed linens regularly.
• Assist with all daily activities based on client needs.
• Provide a caring and positive presence for the client.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
