Team Select Home Care of Indiana, LLC in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide non-medical personal care and assist with activities of daily living in the home. You will report to the Director of Operations and support clients with bathing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, and essential daily tasks.

The role includes facilitating transfers, assisting with mobility, and offering companionship while maintaining HIPAA standards and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High school graduation is required and an 18+ age threshold applies.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions with accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-medical personal care and activities of daily living.
• Help with transfers, mobility devices, and safe ambulation as needed.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding and hydration.
• Provide basic emotional support and companionship as assigned.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a clean home.
• Observe and report changes in health status or safety concerns.
• Assist with medication reminders and safe handling of medications (no administration).
• Escort to medical appointments when authorized by office staff.
