Job summary

Team Select Home Care is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide non-medical personal care in clients' homes in Indiana. You will support activities of daily living and report to the Director of Operations on care progress.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, meals, grooming, transportation to appointments, light housekeeping, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Competitive pay ranges with weekly pay and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
• Good verbal and written communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Helps with non-medical personal care and activities of daily living.
• Assists with transfers and transfer devices including lift devices per state regulations.
• Prepares nutritious meals/snacks for the consumer and assists with feeding.
• Assists with treatments such as simple dressings, ROM, ambulation, and routines.
• Provides basic emotional support to the consumer and household members.
• Assists with grocery shopping and light housekeeping activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe home environment and reports changes promptly.
• Encourages self-care and assists with medication handling as needed.

• Provides companion services to reduce isolation and monitor safety.
• Follows assignment/service plan and completes shift documentation.
