Job summary

Together Homecare of Indianapolis, LLC is hiring a Home Care Aide to assist consumers with non-medical personal care in the home. You will help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility under state guidelines.

Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and providing companionship with strict HIPAA confidentiality and accurate shift documentation.

Qualifications

• High school graduation required; 18 years of age or per state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-medical personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support transfers using lift devices per state regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding.
• Aid with simple treatments and routine exercises as assigned.
• Provide emotional support and supervise a safe home environment.
• Help with shopping and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Observe and report changes in condition and emergencies.
• Assist with medication handling tasks (opening containers and assisting) but not administer.
• Escort to medical appointments when authorized by office staff.
• Provide companionship for functionally impaired individuals.
• Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Document shifts accurately and obtain consumer signature.
