Job summary

ABA Journey in Locust Grove, GA is seeking a motivated BT Trainee to start a hands-on clinical path in pediatric healthcare and behavioral therapy. You will train, complete a 40-hour program, and progress toward your national board exam with supervision from a BCBA.

This role focuses on one-on-one therapy with children on the autism spectrum, building communication, social, and daily living skills in a structured, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (college coursework or a degree in psychology, education, or child development is a big plus).
• Physical stamina to play on the floor, run, crouch, and lift up to 35 lbs to keep up with active children.
• Background check required.
• Reliable transportation if traveling to in-home client sessions.

Responsibilities

• Complete Certification Requirements: Successfully complete the required 40-hour training course and pass your initial competency assessment.
• Provide 1:1 Therapy: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans with pediatric clients in a fun, play-based environment.
• Teach Vital Skills: Help children build functional communication, social interaction, and independent living skills.
• Manage Challenging Behaviors: Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to reduce safe-disrupting behaviors.
• Data Collection: Accurately track and record client progress on a tablet during each session.
• Clinical Collaboration: Work under the direct guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Compensation Structure

• Starting Rate (After Competency Phase): $21.00 per hour
• Certified Rate (Upon passing the RBT Board Exam): $24.00 per hour

Position Requirements

Preferred Experience

No prior ABA experience is required. We highly encourage applicants with backgrounds in:
