Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community-based settings under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts. You will help individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder build social and communication skills and follow behavior-change plans.

In this role you’ll document progress during sessions and create encouraging, structured interactions, with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• College coursework in psychology, education, or related field; or 1+ year relevant experience.
• RBT certification/credentials if applying as an RBT.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with individuals with ASD and related behavioral health needs.
• Help build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans by BCBA.
• Collect and document progress and session information.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during sessions.
