Job summary

Ability Builders is seeking Behavior Technicians to deliver direct behavioral services under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement skill acquisition and behavior-reduction plans in client homes or school settings, collect data, and participate in ongoing professional development.

The role requires meeting minimum education requirements, completing RBT training, and collaborating with supervising BCBAs to ensure quality care for clients with special needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a paid position working with children with special needs is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field is preferred.
• State Certification as a special education teacher or regular education teacher is helpful.
• For RBT track: completion of 40 hours of training and BACB RBT status.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual sessions.
• Run skill acquisition programs under ABA and Verbal Behavior analysis.
• Complete weekly program recording and maintain client’s Program Book.
• Complete daily mandatory paperwork including Daily Report and Parent Signature Log.
• Collaborate with BCBA/BCaBA to implement treatment plans.
• Collect data as instructed by the BCBA.
• Maintain client confidentiality and safety during sessions.
• Arrive on-time and work scheduled hours.
