Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Los Angeles is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services in home settings. You will work with individuals on the autism spectrum and other conditions, under supervision, with comprehensive training provided to ensure success.

The position offers flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time), weekly paychecks, paid training, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Ongoing BCBA supervision supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Previous experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Provide/assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation.
• Collect and document data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
