Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is hiring an Appliance Service Technician in New Orleans, LA. You will diagnose and repair GE Appliances in customers' homes, evaluate when to repair or replace, and actively promote service contracts and related products to ensure value and customer satisfaction.

You will operate a Bodewell service van, document work, participate in ongoing training, and maintain equipment and inventory while upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
• Flexible schedule including some Saturdays.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Willing to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.
• Wear uniform and maintain grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts and related products.
• Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and activities.
• Participate in training, meetings, and events to stay current.
• Maintain inventory and upkeep of the service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
