Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services (ABS) seeks a dedicated Special Education Behavior Technician to support a school-aged student with ASD. Under a BCBA supervisor, you will implement individualized ABA treatment plans, collect daily data, and complete session notes in alignment with SMART goals.

Ideal candidates have RBT certification, background in ABA, psychology, or education, strong communication skills, and experience with pre-K to elementary students.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required.
• Experience with pre-school and elementary children.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm under high-stress situations.
• Documentation of progress notes and data points.

Responsibilities

• Study patient behavior and apply ABA principles.
• Respond to behaviors observed in autism and developmental challenges.
• Provide effective feedback to patients.
• Document progress notes and data points for each patient.
• Seek clinical direction from supervisor when needed.
• Maintain respectful communication with caregivers, students, supervisors and coworkers.
• Use behavioral redirection techniques as appropriate.
• Recognize improvements in patient behaviors and report them.
