Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services (ABS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Behavior Technician to provide in-home and community-based ABA services to a 12-year-old male in Merrick, New York.

You will work under the supervision of a BCBA, implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, complete notes, and help the student strengthen communication, social, adaptive, and independent living skills in a part-time, local setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Experience with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• RBT certification or related coursework is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to satisfy applicable New York background-check requirements.
• Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one ABA therapy.
• Follow individualized behavior and skill-development plans.
• Collect and document session data.
• Complete timely and accurate session notes.
• Communicate professionally with caregivers and supervisors.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
