Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver in-home ABA therapy to children with autism under supervision of a BCBA/LBA in New York City.

You will collect data, implement behavior plans, maintain notes, and collaborate with families and the therapy team. Flexible after-school and weekend hours with an immediate start in Bushwick, Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm, weekends 11am-4pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field.
• Related roles include: RBT, ABA Therapist, Daycare Worker, etc.
• HIPAA confidentiality laws must be understood and adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.

• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress.

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism
• Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA
• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
• Maintain detailed session notes and records
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in Bushwick
• Mon - Fri 4pm - 7pm
• Weekends 11-4
• 25 Hours a week.
• Sign-on bonus of up to $250
