Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy in Yonkers, NY. You will implement plans developed by a BCBA/LBA, collect data, and maintain session notes while collaborating with a dedicated therapy team and families.

This role prioritizes compassionate communication, organization, and timely responsiveness to clients, guardians, and supervisors. Part-time hours typically after school and weekends are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience with children or related field.
• HIPAA confidentiality knowledge required.

Job description

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism
• Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA
• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
• Maintain detailed session notes and records
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15-30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in North Yonkers 4:30pm to 7:30pm and 5 hours on weekends.
• 20 Hours a week.
