Job summary

A Better Way ABA in New York, NY seeks a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy under supervision of a BCBA. You will work directly with children with autism, collecting data and implementing plans.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, HIPAA privacy, and collaboration with families and the therapy team. Immediate start across multiple boroughs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part‑time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in Brooklyn (Brownsville/East Flatbush)
• Immediate start available in Yonkers
• Immediate start available in Long Island City
• Immediate start available in Bushwick
