Job summary

A Better Way ABA seeks a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism in Bushwick, NY. You will implement plans created by a BCBA/LBA and collect data to track progress, while maintaining detailed session notes.

Must have strong communication and organizational skills, be HIPAA-compliant, and able to collaborate with therapists and families. Part-time hours are after-school and weekends, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience with children or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws.
  • Experience in ABA, paraprofessional, or related roles preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism
  • Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA
  • Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
  • Maintain detailed session notes and records
  • Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
  • Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors
Job Requirements
  • Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
  • Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws
Work Schedule
  • Part-time: 15-30 hours per week
  • Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
  • Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
  • Immediate start available in Bushwick
  • Mon - Fri 4pm - 7pm
  • Weekends 11-4
  • 25 Hours a week.
  • Sign-on bonus of up to $250
