Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy for children with autism under supervision of a BCBA. The role emphasizes compassionate care, data collection, and collaboration with families.

Responsibilities include implementing behavioral plans, recording progress, and coordinating with BCBAs and parents. Flexible schedules across Oceanside, Corona, and Crown Heights locations are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities

• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
• Maintain detailed session notes and records
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in Oceanside 4-7pm
• Immediate start available in Corona 4-7pm
• Immediate start available in Crown Heights 3-9pm
