Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to provide in-home ABA therapy for children with autism under BCBA supervision. You’ll collect data, follow behavioral plans, and work closely with families and the therapy team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1 year of relevant experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Flexible schedules include after-school and weekend slots in New York areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience with children or related field preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.
• Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA.
• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress.
• Maintain detailed session notes and records.
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians).
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors.

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part‑time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in Brooklyn (Brownsville/East Flatbush)
• Immediate start available in Yonkers
• Immediate start available in Long Island City
• Immediate start available in Bushwick
