Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an IIH-Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) to implement individualized ABA programs for children with ASD in home settings, under BCBA supervision. You will deliver 1:1 therapy, collect progress data, implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies, and collaborate with families and the clinical team.

The role requires flexibility, reliability, and willingness to travel to client homes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years’ experience with children or disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred with 1 year experience.
• RBT certification preferred; required within 90 days if applicable.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers.
• Background checks including criminal history and abuse registry.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds and work in home settings.
• In-home visits; occasional exposure to challenging behaviors.
• Supervised regularly by a BCBA; ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Record and maintain data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
