Job summary

Easterseals Southern California offers opportunities for individuals to begin or advance a career in psychology, behavioral health, or autism services. Behavior Interventionists deliver ABA-based therapy in home visits to families and children on the autism spectrum, with ongoing training and clearly defined career paths.

Work hours are Monday–Friday 3PM–8PM and Saturday 9AM–1PM, requiring at least 15 hours weekly, with pay $24–$27.50 hourly.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and willingness to engage with families.
• Experience with children or people with special needs and interest in behavioral health.
• Able to work afternoons/early evenings and possible weekend mornings.
• Must have own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto registration and auto insurance.
• Provide immunization records and TB documentation.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Available for initial 2-week training schedule (M-F, about 35 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum.
• Observe, assess and interact with participants during visits.
• Handle lifting, carrying and setup of materials for home visits.
