Job summary

SpiceOrb, serving a telecom client, seeks an IMS Network Operations & Maintenance Engineer in Frisco, TX. This onsite role monitors capital deployments through real-time alarms, triage, and break-fix actions to maintain network stability.

You will provide 24/7 monitoring, handle tickets, validate deployments, and respond to alarms from One Console, Splunk, OpenSearch, NetScout, and CyberArk, ensuring smooth upgrades and ongoing performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mavenir IMS access/core products or Ericsson IMS access products.
• Understanding of telecom protocols like Diameter and HTTP.
• Proficient with network monitoring and operations tools.

Responsibilities

Scope and Responsibilities

• Support capital program deployments through real-time alarm monitoring, initial triage, and break-fix change execution.
• Provide 24/7 operational monitoring, ticket handling, and troubleshooting to ensure network stability and minimize post-deployment issues.
• Monitor KPIs, alarms, and system degradations, escalating where needed to ensure proper implementation and network performance.
• Perform pre- and post-deployment validations to confirm successful upgrades and proactively identify issues.
• Respond to alarms from tools such as One Console, Splunk, OpenSearch, NetScout, and CyberArk.

Technical Experience and Skills

• Knowledge and experience supporting Mavenir IMS access/core products (TAS/CSCF, BGCF, MRF, SBC etc) and/OR Ericsson IMS access products (Cloud Native SBG/BGF).
• Understanding of telecom protocols (Diameter, HTTP) and wireless network architecture.
• Competence in monitoring and operational support tools (One Console, Splunk, OpenSearch, etc.).

Work Schedule and Travel

• 8-hour shifts; availability for on-call support.
• 3-day in-office requirement
