Job summary

Expeditors in Salt Lake City is seeking an entry-level Freight Clerk to join our global logistics team. You will support smooth freight processes, track shipments, and ensure accurate data entry in our operating system while delivering excellent service to customers.

The ideal candidate has 0–12 months related experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, organized approach. You will work Monday through Friday in a full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and clear communication
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English – reading and writing
• Understanding of air documentation process a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
• Track and trace Air and Ocean Import files as required
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, and others)
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations, OPS and external government regulations or customer policies
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
• Meet KPI standards as per company procedures
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests

Job Description
