Carmichael International Service in Valley Stream, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join the Import Operations team. You will open files, enter shipment and customs data, and verify documentation for CBP.

The role requires accurate data entry, strong organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade is preferred. Onsite work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of industry-related experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, international trade, or a related field.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to learn and navigate industry-specific software systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Review incoming emails and shipment documentation.
• Verify receipt of all required import and customs documents.
• Open files in the company's operating system.
• Accurately key shipment and customs data into internal systems.
• Coordinate and communicate with operations personnel and team members regarding documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and files.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
• Assist with special projects and departmental needs as assigned.
• Follow company procedures, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
