Job summary

BGI Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in New York is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage international ocean and air import/export and domestic transportation, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will handle day-to-day ocean/air import operations, domestic LTL/FTL, prepare bills of lading, track shipments from door to door, and communicate with clients and partners to resolve issues promptly. A BA/BS with 3–5 years of experience is preferred.

Job description

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of all facets of international ocean and air, import and export, as well as a solid understanding of domestic transportation. The position will require excellent communication and customer service skills to further develop new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to day handling of ocean and air import operations

Domestic Less-than-truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload Operations

Proficiency and understanding of compliance requirements and appropriate regulations

Communication with clients, overseas partners, truckers, warehouse, etc.-

Door to Door tracking

Prepare bills of lading and other documentation as required

Addressing issues in a timely and professional manner

Attributes/Skills Required

BA/BS in relevant concentration

3 - 5 years experience with the daily maintenance and coordination of international air/sea freight and domestic shipments

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
