Job summary

I.K. Hofmann Inc. is seeking an Import Export Agent in Dallas, Texas for a fast-paced cargo facility. You will handle export/import inquiries, finalize outbound flights/trucks and manage import documentation while adhering to client procedures.

The role requires flexibility to work different shifts, a GED/High School background, and a detail-oriented mindset. This is a long-term contract with competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Process export and import inquiries per client requirements and procedures.
• Prepare and finalize outbound flights/trucks.
• Handle import documentation (delivery, transfer and abandoned shipment).
• Process all Air Waybills and HAWBs and ensure accurate data capture.
• Perform service recovery activities (tracing, warehouse checks, offloads).
• Support quality standards and follow CHM and GOM procedures.
• Observe client security requirements and inform customers of irregularities.
• Communicate with customers to convey information accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

I.K. Hofmann is looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Dallas, Texas for a Cargo facility.

We are looking for ambitious and detail-oriented individuals to perform faced paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision. They need to be flexible to work different shifts.

Pay Range Starting at $17.00- $19.50- commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Import Export Agent Responsibilities

• Processes export and import inquires as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance
• Preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks
• handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer and abandoned shipment)
• Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs and ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures
• Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offloads)
• Fully supports the quality standards
• Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures
• Observes and applies the security requirements of the client and local authorities
• Contacts customers, inform them of any/all irregularities
• The person in this position frequently communicates with employees to give instructions. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Job Essential Functions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75%-100% of the time (8-12.5-hour shifts).
• The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office and/or warehouse to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
• The position requires constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.
• Occasionally moves documents from the office to the warehouse weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Constantly positions oneself to maintain computers in the office, including under the desks and in the server closet.
