Job summary

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. in Virginia Beach seeks a Customer Service import Customs Coordinator to manage US Customs duties, monitor manifest submissions for errors, and coordinate amendments and holds with urgency.

You will act as the focal point for US Customs issues, process GO requests, and ensure timely communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and smooth cargo flows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in customs coordination.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Run daily reports to identify customs holds or rejections and handle accordingly
• Run daily reports to identify cargo for General Order and handle accordingly
• Daily monitor CMS203 (Conditions Attend) and process accordingly
• Daily monitor CMS205 (Orphans) and resolve accordingly
• Weekly monitor the invoice portal to ensure timely processing
• Monitor the group mailbox for transmission notifications and change requests and handle each accordingly within SLA
• Keep a running tab of export vessels’ sail dates so export manifest can be submitted within guidelines
• Handle incoming calls both internally and externally
