WellTheory seeks an Implementations Engineer to join our fully remote team. You will architect and build the insurance and data infrastructure that powers eligibility, verification, and claims, working directly with new employer and health plan partners to go live quickly and reliably.

You likely have 3–5+ years of software engineering experience and a strong fundamentals. Our stack includes JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres, and GCP, with a focus on building at the 0-to-1 stage and

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in software design and problem solving.
• Experience making foundational technical decisions at early stage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the insurance and data infrastructure that powers eligibility, verification, and claims.
• Collaborate directly with employer, health plan, and channel partners during implementation to go live quickly.
• Make foundational technical decisions as part of a small, generalist team at the 0-to-1 stage.
• Leverage AI tools to move faster and scale impact as an individual contributor.
• Write clear documentation so the remote team can ramp up easily.
