Implementation Specialist

Location:
Remote – U.S. Based (Travel: 50%+, based on customer needs)

As we scale across North America, we're looking for an Implementation Specialist who can deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure successful deployments of our manufacturing intelligence solutions.

What’s the role about?
As an Implementation Specialist at Factbird, you’ll be the face of our solution during the critical onboarding and deployment phase. You will work hands-on with our customers—on-site and virtually—to install, configure, and optimize Factbird systems across production lines. Your mission is to ensure a smooth, value-driven implementation experience that sets the foundation for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the on-site and remote installation and deployment of Factbird’s hardware and software solutions at customer manufacturing facilities.
• Act as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process—from kickoff to go-live.
• Translate customer needs into tailored configurations and deployment plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure alignment and clear handoffs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to network configuration, hardware setup, and initial data validation.
• Train plant-level stakeholders to ensure adoption and autonomy post-deployment.
• Document project progress, configurations, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
• Travel to customer sites (50%+), sometimes on short notice, depending on project needs.

You’re a problem-solver with a bias for action and a passion for helping customers succeed. You thrive in manufacturing environments, enjoy field work, and bring both technical acumen and a service mindset to every engagement.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, industrial engineering, systems integration, or field service roles.
• Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with OT environments (PLCs, sensors, MES, SCADA) and basic networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience implementing hardware/software solutions in live production settings.
• Clear, confident communicator who can engage both plant-floor operators and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt to varied working environments.
• Bonus: Experience with SaaS-based industrial/IIoT solutions or subscription-based platforms.
