Purpose
Supports efforts and ensures fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps College Algebra course by coordinating a high level of instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors.
Responsibilities
- Supports OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars; develops and maintains strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders through exceptional customer service, technical support, and problem‑solving.
- Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes during Summer, Fall, and Spring for OnRamps instructors in collaboration with Course Leads, Assistant Director, and Learning and Development team to enhance course implementation aligned with the OnRamps Four Pillars.
- Facilitates ongoing professional development and learning activities through weekly communication, monthly virtual meetings, and professional learning institutes; cultivates and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors.
- Provides interventions for instructors with implementation challenges and those onboarding after annual Summer Institutes, including virtual meetings, coaching support, and video streaming into classes.
- Uses data to ensure fidelity of implementation of OnRamps courses with data science methodologies such as instructor engagement, pacing, submission rates, and performance; supports fidelity including resource investigations and academic integrity.
- Facilitates an instructor support system with mentor instructors and online platforms; creates video resources modeling pedagogy and challenging content.
- Supports and engages in designated special projects to advance the mission of OnRamps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, education, or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of high‑school teaching and learning.
- Exceptional customer service skills with decorum and tact.
- Five years of teaching experience at high‑school or college level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, education, or related field.
- Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers.
- Proficiency in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet or other project‑management system.
- Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences respectfully and client‑focused.
- Five years of teaching experience at high‑school or college level.
Salary
$60,000 plus depending on qualifications.
Working Conditions
- Requires up to 5% travel within Texas and occasional weekend and evening work, especially during professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.
- May work around standard office conditions.
- Repetitive keyboard use while working at a workstation.
- Shared desk and hybrid work environment.
- Climbing stairs and use of manual dexterity may be required.
