Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Implant Department to lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art production equipment, driving quality improvements, and reducing defects. You will monitor tool performance, analyze data, and coordinate daily workload in a fast-paced fab environment.

The role requires a technical mindset, lean principles knowledge, and experience with major implant-related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Technical degree preferred but not required with strong mechanical aptitude.
• 2+ years of semiconductor experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of Implant, RTP/anneal, and/or etch processes and equipment preferred.
• Experience with AMAT, Axcelis, LAM, Mattson, Nissin, and Veeco equipment preferred.
• Understanding of Lean Principles; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tool status and tool performance daily.
• Review FDC/Tool trend data to determine root causes.
• Interpret datasets and identify trends relative to Implant control.
• Lead daily workload and sustain activities in the fab.
• Ensure SOPs, OCAPs, and OCAPs are used for efficient operations.
• Analyze alarms/interlocks data to identify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Develop and improve SOPs, job aids, OCAPs, and process flows to boost efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
• Cross-train on ion-implantation and rapid thermal processing equipment.
