Valley View Health And Rehabilitation LLC is seeking a compassionate Treatment / Wound Care Nurse (RN) to lead specialized skin care and wound treatment for residents. You will work under the DON/ADON, oversee wound care, and ensure high-quality care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Wound care certification preferred.
• Willingness to obtain wound care certification for the right candidate.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Passion for resident-centered care and quality outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all direct wound care activities to ensure consistency and quality.
• Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care needs for residents.
• Manage and treat skin disorders and wounds according to physician orders and protocols.
• Coordinate weekly skin rounds.
• Perform wound and skin assessments through observation and inspection.
• Collaborate with the Care Planning Team to develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor turning, positioning, and skin protection programs.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on wound prevention and skin health.
• Precept and train nursing staff on wound care procedures and best practices.
• Order and track wound care supplies and equipment.
• Assist with modifying treatment regimens based on resident response and clinical needs.
